First appearance in Europe of the RC F, the most powerful V8 performance car from Lexus ever, at the Geneva Motor Show

 

Along with the European debut of the new RC coupé F Sport with exclusive design features and dynamic upgrades. A world premiere will be made of the Lexus RC F GT3 concept, further proof of Lexus’s intention to enter GT3 sports car racing.

Lexus’s presentation at the 2014 Geneva motor show will be led by European debuts for the new RC coupe and high-performance RC F and world-first reveals of the RC F Sport and RC F GT3 racing concept.

The Lexus RC F first showing ahead of going on sale this autumn. The hot new car is powered by a new 5.0-litre engine that’s expected to deliver well in excess of 450bhp and more than 520Nm of torque.

With all the expected performance car additions to out down this power efficiently, the RC F combines a newly calibrated eight-speed transmission and a world-first. The installation of a Torque Vectoring Differential in a front engine/rear-wheel drive sports coupé. Enhancing traction and providing exceptional handling and performance.

Another first in a Lexus, the RC F’s engine will run on the Atkinson cycle at cruising speed. This brings better fuel economy, the engine then switches to the Otto cycle at higher revs to deliver outstanding performance.

The RC will also be available in F Sport trim with an even stronger, more sporting exterior and interior design features. The F Sport also features revised driving dynamics.
