SEAT designs, develops, manufactures cars in Spain.  A member of the Volkswagen Group, the multinational company has its headquarters in Martorell, Barcelona. 75% of its production is exported to 72 countries.  SEAT is Spain’s market leader with total sales of 339,500 vehicles.

The SEAT Group employs 13,000 at three production centres in Barcelona: Zona Franca, El Prat de Llobregat and Martorell. At these facilities it manufactures the highly successful Ibiza and Leon, amongst other models.  The Volkswagen Group production facility at Palmela in Portugal supplies the SEAT Alhambra.

Seat also has a Technical Centre, a central ‘knowledge hub’ where more than 900 engineers innovate and drive the brand forward for the number one R&D investor in Spain.  In line with its commitment to environmental concerns, SEAT undertakes and bases its core activity on sustainability, CO2 reduction and emissions, energy efficiency, recycling and re-using of resources.
