The New TT Quattro Sport Concept featuring 420PS from a four cylinder engine.

The concept has been shown at Geneva.

The relentless development in these extreme Audi sports Coupés continues. The TT Quattro Sport concept brings blistering performance of 0-62mph in 3.7 seconds and over 312PS per ton from a 2.0 Litre TFSI engine. The Audi TT Coupé is a great car for exploring the extreme performance on offer through the Quattro Concept.

This car is designed for racing – an extreme driving machine for the motorsports enthusiasts among our customers.Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Board Member for Technical Development.
The four cylinder 2.0 Litre TFSI engine delivers 420PS at 6700rpm. A new benchmark for a 2.0 Litre engine. With 210 Ps per litre, the power from this concept is more than the 2001 Le Mans R18 Racing car, which was the first to combine turbocharging with FSI injection ion an Audi petrol engine. Head of Powertrain Development Dr. Stefan Knirsch: “The 35 years of experience Audi have gained in turbocharging are showcased in this engine. The unique combination of maximum performance, dynamism, and fuel efficiency”.

The car has been lightened to a featherweight 1344 kilograms, helped by reduced trim levels and aluminium Audi Space frame construction and panels.

The permanent quattro all-wheel drive system transfer the power smoothly to the road. A hydraulically actuated, electronically controlled multi-disk clutch is located on the rear axle for optimum weight distribution. This actively redistributes drive torque between the axles in milliseconds.
