Click Here Gamers RedBull Gridsters at Goodwood Festival of Speed

In Goodwood by Jonathan Humphrey

Last week at the SMMT Test day I was driven by mad keen gamer, GT Academy winner and now racing driver Jann Mardenborough in the radical Nissan Juke R. The car with Jann as driver was totally addictive.

These new gaming competitions give everyone with these skills a chance and now Red Bull Gridsters is aiming to find the UK’s best virtual racer at this years 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Gridsters is a competition aiming to find the fastest and versatile racing gamer across the most popular racing titles in the UK. Redbull are seeking sixteen gamers to extract from their couches to the Gridsters gaming arena for two day showdown at what is looking to be once again the best Goodwood Festival of Speed.

‘Young Guns’ is the theme for this year’s Festival and with the attendance of Sebastian Vettel – the youngest ever double Formula 1 World Champion – the gamers will be rubbing shoulders with the motor racing glitterati and looking to catch the eye of any team principals who may be overseeing procedures!

Speaking of the new collaboration at the event, Festival of Speed founder Lord March said, “It is great that we have this exciting new gaming concept coming to the festival of speed this year which ties in perfectly with the Young Guns theme of the Festival. I look forward to seeing some of the best virtual racers competing at the same Festival as some of the greatest racing drivers of all time”

I am told by Nissan that the radical Juke R is at the Festival of Speed this year.
