Long Live the Roadster – The New MX-5

World Roadster, the Mazda MX-5 opens a brand new chapter, the long awaited 4th generation model will be revealed in September.

Mazda an unconventional carmaker will be showing the exciting new MX-5 model at two Special events in Spain in September.

“The MX-5 is the product that best epitomises Mazda’s convention-defying spirit and our love of driving. It has been grabbing people’s attention for 25 years, and with the new-generation model we’re aiming to share this passion again.”Mazda Motor Europe President and CEO Jeff Guyton.

The unveiling will take place on 3-4 September in Barcelona simultaneously with matched events in Japan and the U.S. Guests from around the world will be the first to lay eyes on the all-new MX-5. The MX-5 holds the Guinness World Record as the bestselling two-seater sports car ever. On 6 September, MX-5 enthusiasts from across Europe will converge on Barcelona to view the coming generation of the iconic sports car. Under the “Long live the Roadster” banner, both occasions will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the MX-5.

With 945,000 MX-5s produced since 1989 the car made a winning solution that revived the virtually extinct market for roadsters. The solution – pure driving fun based on a lightweight design and perfect front-rear weight balance.
