In Aston Martin by Jonathan Humphrey

Aston Martin is a launching a customisation and personalisation service that goes beyond paint, leather and trim. Q by Aston Martin is taking the company into a new era in one-off personalisation.

A new team that brings Aston Martin’s design department together with the company’s engineering team and its experienced craftspeople. Now the Aston Martin Q team can personalise the Aston Martin you drive with meticulous attention to detail inside and out.

With Q by Aston Martin, the ability to commission the design and manufacture of your unique car is now within reach. Q by Aston Martin can assist in the design and procurement of luxury items beyond the customers’ car.  A Brompton bicycle could be colour matched to their Aston Martin, a customer’s architect to could be helped to design their house, or the spec of colour themes/materials for the interior of a luxury yacht.

Presented at the Geneva Motor Show the Virage and Cygnet models have been enhanced and personalised to include unique colour and trim finishes, these cars are showcases for the possibilities offered by Q by Aston Martin.

To show the wide variety of personalisation available, darlings, the Virage is dressed in a bespoke Mariana Blue satin paint finish with an interior accented with blue carbon fibre, saddle leather floor mats, and striking yellow detailing. Exclusive concept components have also been added, including a header mounted track-day HD video camera, luggage rack and striking forged, diamond turned wheel.

The Cherry Tree Cygnet  adds the bespoke service to Aston Martin’s acclaimed Tailor-Fit city car. Adorned in Cherry Tree raspberry paint with a kestrel tan interior, the Cygnet includes specially developed photographic leather wallpaper on the ceiling, as well as the tailor-made raspberry colour-matched three piece luggage set, unique brogue leather detailing on the seats and a colour-matched Brompton bicycle for extra urban manoeuvrability.

Aston Martin offers customers fifteen models in its range. The Rapide, the DBS Coupe and DBS Volante, Virage Coupe and Volante, DB9 Coupe and DB9 Volante, the V8 Vantage Coupe and Vantage Roadster, the Vantage S Coupe and Roadster and the V12 Vantage. In addition, there is the Cygnet city car and One-77 super car. The striking line-up will be enhanced mid 2012 by the V12 Zagato.

The opportunities with Q by Aston Martin are endless, which does concern me on what we may see on the roads, sadly taste and money are not ideal bed partners…although it seems Victoria Beckham may have bought something to the Range Rover Evoque design.
