Having added too many electric car posts recently here is something. Renault Sport have now revealed the Mégane R.S. Trophy, instantly recognisable, black roof, special graphics, rear lip spoiler, 19-inch gloss black STEEV wheels with red piping and R.S. valve caps. Also a numbered plaque. that reminds me of my last Lancia Integrale, wherever it maybe now, lagos blue with a yellow stripe.

The LED daytime lights, I like them a lot on the Citroen DS3 add again its striking looks. The Renault Mégane R.S. Trophy introduces a new Sirius Yellow finish, a new metallic paint that will be loved by Renault Sport fans. The hotcar is also available in Glacier White, Etoilé Black and Cassiopée Grey.

Inside, the Recaro bucket seats add to the RS trophy’s unmistakably sporty feel, as does the central display showing the data provided by the R.S. Monitor. The Renault Sports monitor informs the petrol head of acceleration, engine performance, lap times and the ever useful g-force stats. This will be much appreciated on track days, something the Mégane R.S. is destined to be good at.

The cars produces an increased power output of 265hp and peak torque of 360Nm. The Mégane R.S. Trophy delivers unrivalled efficiency and performance for its class. A different tyre fitment and an increase in power make the very most of the Cup chassis’ potential, without detracting from the car’s acclaimed versatility and ride comfort. Now with a suitable top speed of 156mph and 0-62 mph in exactly six seconds.

Just 500 cars are being made, and the Mégane R.S. Trophy’s great styling features put it at the very top of the range.

Cars are available to be ordered on June 20, 2011, and just 50 for the UK,  priced at £27,820 – Look out for it.
