As the latest series of successful Channel 4 music show On Track with SEAT returns to our screens tonight the Spanish car maker is pairing up with Channel 4 to give one lucky viewer the chance to win a brand new Ibiza supermini.

The bespoke On Track Music SEAT Ibiza SC Sportrider is being given away in a Channel 4 competition that runs throughout the eight weeks of the On Track with SEAT series.

This unique car is fitted with more than £4,000-worth of the latest audio technology from in-car entertainment specialists Kenwood Electronics, and comes complete with luxury touches such as unique leather seats, climate control and sporty 17-inch alloy wheels.

The second series of the award-winning On Track with SEAT music shows will once again feature chart-topping artists recording a small selection of their own songs plus a favourite cover version – straight to limited-edition vinyl EP.

Artists featuring in the show this year include recent chart-topper Example as well as stadium-fillers The Manic Street Preachers, Friendly Fires and the Kaiser Chiefs.

The first series of On Track attracted more than three million viewers and scooped a prestigious Music Week award and now the new series, which boasts eight episodes extended from 15 minutes to half an hour each, is expected to be similarly successful.

The series is fronted by Tom Ravenscroft – son of Radio 1 legend John Peel and a regular on BBC digital radio station 6 Music.  Check out the Facebook page for the exclusive content from the show.  And don’t forget that following each recording 10,000 copies of each track will be available as a free download from the SEAT Music Facebook page.

The competition to win the unique SEAT Ibiza SC Sportrider runs in ‘bumper’ ads that appear before and after each advert break on Channel 4.  SEAT teamed up with in-car audio experts Kenwood Electronics to create the one-off prize car that boasts a seriously impressive 2,800 watt audio system.

The sweet sounding package is headed-up and controlled by Kenwood’s feature-packed DNX5260BT DVD/USB-Receiver running through a 6.1-inch full colour touch-screen.  It delivers full iPod connectivity allowing access to an entire MP3 music library on the move and at the touch of a button.

There’s also an integrated Parrot Bluetooth module enabling mobile phone calls to be made quickly, easily and legally while driving – and an easy-to-use Garmin satellite navigation system.  Oh, and there’s CD and even DVD-playback on offer.

The Kenwood multimedia system controls two powerful amplifiers that pump out 2,800 watts of power to the fully customised Ibiza.  The front door cards and boot area have been redesigned to house two pairs of Kenwood Electronics’ finest speakers and a bass-making 12-inch subwoofer.  There’s even a 22-inch TV screen in the boot!

This comes on top of the special edition SEAT Ibiza SC 1.4 85 PS Sportrider’s already generous complement of standard equipment.  Aside from 17-inch alloy wheels the Sportrider boasts such luxuries as climate control, combined USB/Aux-in port, Bluetooth connectivity, rear parking sensors and automatic lights and windscreen wipers.

The 1.4-litre 85 PS Ibiza SC Sportrider – available at £12,415 RRP – is good for 110 mph and can zip from rest to 62 mph in a sprightly 11.8 seconds.  Despite its nippy nature, the Ibiza can cover 47.9 mpg on the combined cycle.

Alastair Porter, Experiential Marketing Manager at SEAT UK, said: ‘This fabulous special edition Ibiza really is a one-off collector’s item.  The Kenwood Electronics’ in-car entertainment has to be seen and heard to be believed.

‘The lucky winner of this On Track with SEAT Channel 4 competition will be getting their hands on a great looking, and great sounding, new car!’
