One of the most beautiful cars ever built a 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic was sold at auction last week 5 May 2010 in Santa Monica, California for between $30-40 million. One of only three built this 200bhp Bugatti Atlantic with a top speed of over 120mph was a restored example. It won the 2003 Pebble Beach Concours D’elegance and was owned by a late Dr Williamson and part of his private collection of Bugattis.The worlds most expensive carSold by renowned auction house Gooding and Company it totally eclipsed the sale of the previously most expensive car  a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testarossa which sold for around £8m last year at this time and the £7m paid by our own Radio 2 presenter Chris Evans when he bought the Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider owned by James Coburn. So who can top that one…
