Be Wiser an independent Car Insurance Broker have revealed how UK drivers find their Car insurance.
It seems nearly a quarter of us (23%) of British motorists just simply accept the renewal quote for their ongoing Car Insurance, almost always passing up on savings available elsewhere, according to a recent poll by Be Wiser Insurance.
Respondents to their survey also commented that they found the process of looking for a new insurance quote so arduous that they simply gave up and accepted the renewal as it was.
Mark Bower-Dyke, Chairman of Be Wiser Insurance, said: “We know not everyone has the time, or inclination, to search high and low for a new insurance policy and we can’t help but feel that many motorists are missing out on getting the best deal when it comes to insurance.”
Nearly half (44%) of all UK drivers try to find the cheapest insurance on comparison sites alone but many respondents commented that initial prices quoted by comparison sites sometimes didn’t contain something they considered `standard´.
Mark Bower-Dyke comments: “Everyone wants to save money on insurance, and many of the comparison sites will let you do this – but the trade off is that the cheapest deals sometimes don’t cover everything you would consider as standard.”
This group were more likely to research directly with insurers and brokers to ensure they were getting what they needed from their insurance.
