The LS2 was a larger and stronger 6.0 liter V8 engine that generated 400 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque that powered the C6 Corvette. There were two transmission options: a 6-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic. The 6-speed automatic option began circulating in 2006.
In contrast, Chevrolet chose to lift the ante for the 2008 model year by expanding the engine’s capacity to 6.2 liters (LS3), which improved the power production to 430 horsepower as well as 424 torque lb-ft. The enormous 7-liter LS7 was available for the Z06, while the ZR1 received the supercharged LS9 with 638 horsepower.

In addition to front and back vented discs, the ZRI Corvette C6 came with Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, which had amazing stopping power and zero brake fade on the track. The factory-installed rotors’ front diameter was 15.5 inches (394mm), while their rear diameter was 15 inches (380mm), making them the biggest, most effective brakes ever installed on a Corvette.
