Volkswagen adds another Cross model to its range

The Cross models already a big success in Europe are to be joined late summer by the Cross up! So far the CrossPolo, CrossGolf and CrossTouran have been created with a rugged lifestyle designs. The cars feature the additions of striking exterior elements and are instantly recognisable from the other range models.

The VW Cross up! sports black mouldings for the arches and sill, full length door strips with a Cross Up! badge. Further additions include the silver roof rails, sporty silver door morris and silver bumpers. The ride height is higher than the up! and the car features high sheen ‘Cross’ alloys and 185/50 tyres.

In the interior special Cross up! kick plates, special seat trim in red or anthracite  and a dash pad in a choice of red, black or dark silver along with a leather-covered steering wheel and handbrake lever.

The Volkswagen Cross up! is fully equipped with remote central locking, electric front windows, fog lights, electrically adjustable heated wing mirrors, an asymmetrically split, folding rear seat with headrests, a variable-height boot floor, a rev counter, a multifunction display and ESC electronic stability programme.

A 75 PS three-cylinder petrol engine combined with a five-speed manual transmission power this new lifestyle Cross up!. The car is available in Germany from late summer, price starting at €13,925.  Sales for the UK are being considered.
