The Olympic Torch in West Berks Went Past My House

It was good to see the Olympic Torch in West Berks as it passed through Berkshire today.

Waiting patiently in the small village of Woolhampton on route to Newbury from Reading and Theale, we got missed out in the main. But we were still there.

We have watched the torch go everywhere on its route and now with the Olympic Torch in West Berks it was fun to see it on route. I must admit I did blink and nearly missed it but the local police hooted and the buses honked to add some noise to the occasion in this sleepy village. It was good to see a small turnout and the school children looked happy as it sped along the A4 Bath Road to Newbury and beyond.
