About the Ineos Grenadier

In 2017, the Chairman of INEOS, Jim Ratcliffe, saw an opportunity for a new kind of 4×4 vehicle that was stripped back, utilitarian, and reliable. He assembled a team of automotive professionals to make this vision a reality.

The Grenadier is the result of their efforts, combining rugged British design with German engineering to create a truly uncompromising 4×4 that can handle any conditions. It’s perfect for those who depend on a vehicle as a working tool, no matter where they are in the world.

INEOS Automotive is a subsidiary of INEOS, a leading manufacturer of petrochemicals, speciality chemicals, and oil products with a production network spanning 183 manufacturing facilities in 29 countries. With sales of $65bn in 2021, INEOS is a major player in many industries, from paints to plastics, textiles to technology, and more.

Lynn Calder, CEO of INEOS Automotive, expresses her gratitude for the recognition, stating that it is a testament to the designers, engineers, and production team’s hard work. The Grenadier is a true 4X4 that draws inspiration from past icons while adhering to modern world-class standards of quality, comfort, refinement, and technology.

4X4 Magazine has been a respected off-road outlet in business since 1981. For the awards, readers selected a shortlist of three vehicles that underwent a rigorous judging process by the magazine’s editorial team.
